On the 28th March, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, a country where we care for 2,000 children. While our children, staff and projects are safe thanks to God's protection, our staff on the ground have relayed to us the overwhelming needs which have moved our hearts.
Despite the dangerous journey, our Myanmar Director, David, recently led a small team to deliver aid to earthquake victims in Naypyidaw. There he witnessed the scale of damage and the enormous hardship people are facing. He told us: "The cries of the earthquake victims are so loud. To see them is heart-breaking. We shared what we had and then we prayed for them. We left them, but our hearts are still with them."
We are not an aid agency but are just one of a few charities that continue to operate in Myanmar. We believe God has placed us there for moments like this and He has blessed us with courageous staff who are determined to help their people during this crisis.
Therefore, after a lot of prayer and consideration, we are launching an emergency appeal for Myanmar with our staff are mobilising to take more aid to the affected areas imminently.
If you are able to give, a donation of £40 can provide an aid package for a family containing vital food, mosquito nets, drinking water and hygiene items. Anything you give will bring relief to families most affected by the earthquake and the urgent humanitarian crisis in Myanmar.
With your support we can help those facing enormous hardship and share with them the love of God.
