Karam is very lucky to have a everything and more- a playroom full of toys and a wardrobe bursting with clothes. Instead of gifts for his birthday he would like to help children less fortunate and would appreciate a small donation to a charity very close to our hearts; Stand by Me.
Stand by Me is a child care charity that rescues children, then does whatever it takes to provide the care, love and attention they need to thrive. Your donations will be used to provide breakfast and lunch for children at the Abdi Academy in Dembi Dollo, Ethiopia. The Abdi Academy meets the individual needs of 400 children, providing education, family support, medical care and nutritious meals. For many children at the Abdi Academy, the meals they receive each day at school are the only food they will have. Regular food ensures children are healthy, strong and have enough energy to concentrate on their lessons and benefit from a great education.
It costs £2 to provide a child with breakfast of a bread roll and sweet tea for a month.
It costs £8 to provide a child with a nutritious lunch for a month.
