We are a team of 16 individuals, both young and old, travelling to see the work of Stand by Me in Nepal. We are looking forward to meeting our sponsor children, learning about their culture and spending some of our time blessing them with our skills. We hope to add the homely touches of curtains and a fresh coat of paint to their rooms, give them a colourful Stand by Me t-shirt and treat them all to a fun day out.

Nepal’s children not only suffer from isolation and extreme poverty, but many suffer discrimination due to the inequalities of the caste system. The Stand by Me Hetauda Children’s Home is providing a loving family environment for boys and girls so that they can attend school and rise above the label society has given them.

An excellent endeavour, we visited some years ago on a tour/trekking holiday and whilst we really enjoyed the local hospitality the problems you describe and are helping with are hiding in plain sight.
