This February I am spending 5 days sleeping on the floor to raise money to give a child the best start to their day. Every child should be able to start their school day with a feeling of dignity, purpose and encouragement. I'm taking on the February on the Floor challenge so that I can help a child head off to school with new underwear, in a smart uniform, with a school bag full of educational resources and a full belly to help them concentrate all day on their lessons.
Many of you will know that I suffer from a condition that causes a lot of pressure headaches and migraines which is what has made me nervous about signing up for this in the past. But I know some of our kids suffer from so much worse and have no choice but to sleep on the floor or live in conditions that no one should have to. I was fortunate enough to visit our projects in Ethiopia and met some amazing kids who have motivated me and inspired me to do what I do. God is a faithful God and has been with me through every step of my condition, making a way before me to make it easier to manage my week and live a normal life. Any discomfort will be completely worth it as I will be able to give a child the best start to their day for a whole year, enabling them to pursue their dreams. Please give generously as I would love to help as many children as possible.
I will update you about my experience and I will also share photos I receive of the children whose lives have been changed because of your support.

February on the Floor is a fundraising event designed to make a significant difference to the lives of our amazing Stand by Me children. We ask people to sleep on the floor for a week of their choice in February and raise money to give a child the best start to their day.
