On May Day, ten teachers from Whiteabbey Primary School are setting out on a completely different type of teacher training... since Easter we have been pulling on our trainers in preparation for the Belfast City Marathon Relay. Our two teams, the Whiteabbey Whippets and the Whiteabbey Waddlers, will be running 26.2 miles hoping to raise £500 respectively to help fund two teacher salaries for a year in Ethiopia. No one knows the value of education more than teachers and we would love it if you could get behind the teams and cheer them on with a little bit of support.

Thanks from the Whippets (Julie, Jud, Ross, Emily and Viv)

and the Waddlers (Julie, Sarah, Craig, Naomi and Ann)

Project Updates

03 June 2016

The Whippets and Waddlers would like to say a huge thank you for your overwhelming support. We had a fantastic day at the marathon, totally spurred on by spectators on the sidelines with pom poms and banners, and from monetary donations. This money will make a huge impact to the lives of the children in Ethiopia through their teachers.....thank you for helping us to help them. We all stand together as one.

Stand by... almost there...
