Our School pupils and families's February on the Floor

Sleeping on the floor to give children the best start to their day

$488

raised by 22 supporters

This February half term, pupils and families of Shellingford Church of England (A) Primary School are supporting the Stand By Me Charity.

We're taking on the 'February on the Floor' challenge where we are 'sponsored' to give up our cosy bed for a night in half term week. In doing so, we can help a child somewhere across the world be provided with everything they need to have the best start to their day, including new underwear, smart school uniforms, a school bag full of educational resources and breakfast for an entire year.

A night of discomfort for us will be completely worth it as we will be able to help another child start their day with purpose, encouragement and dignity for a whole year, enabling them to pursue their dreams. Please give generously as we would love to help as many children as possible.

We can't wait to update you with photos and details of our experience and we will also share photos we receive of the children whose lives have been changed because of your support.

Thank you, Shellingford School pupils and families

Stand by Me rescues kids from extreme circumstances, then provides the care, love and attention they need to thrive. We care for over 4,000 kids across the world, from Myanmar to Colombia to Ethiopia. No two are the same, some are orphaned, some abandoned, some abused or living in extreme poverty, so we take care to meet each of their individual needs from food and healthcare, to loving parents and quality education, enabling them to reach their potential, stand on their own two feet and become who they were created to be.

February on the Floor is a fundraising event designed to make a significant difference to the lives of our amazing Stand by Me children. We ask people to sleep on the floor for a week of their choice in February and raise money to give a child the best start to their day.
