On Friday 19th June, the pupils and staff of Poyntzpass Primary School are giving up their beds for the night to raise money to provide vital food packages for families in Ethiopia facing the coronavirus pandemic. As a school, we stand by Lidia and Tadesse and learn lots about life in Ethiopia when Stand by Me visit our school. With Stand by Me's schools in Ethiopia closed, the girls and boys don't have a chance to get their two meals each day.
To make sure everyone is loved and looked after Stand by Me are providing food parcels to every family in their care to make sure they can get something to eat and self-isolate safely during the pandemic. We know that one night sleeping on the floor can make a big difference as just £40 will provide a family with enough food to last a whole month.
Thank you for supporting us as we take on Friday on the Floor, every gift makes a difference!
