Running for a reason

I'm running to help provide vital food parcels for families in Myanmar who are facing unimaginable circumstances

I'm not someone who ever contemplated running, playing ball sports for hours yes, but running - it just isn't me.

But I've been inspired to take on a half marathon this October by two things. The first is my young family and wanting to be healthier for them coming out of lockdown. The second is I've been motivated by the situation in Myanmar where I'm seeing families, just like yours and mine, whose lives have been changed overnight and they are in desperate need of help. The military coup earlier in the year now coupled with Covid 19 tearing through the country, has meant thousands of families have lost loved ones, many are unable to work and food prices have escalated meaning many are on the brink of starvation.

While I can't do much about the coup and Covid from here, what I can do is something about their food situation. So many of you were incredible earlier in the year when Myla, Blake and I slept on the floor and so I know I've already asked for your support this year and I don't take that for granted. If you are able to give again, any donation to help towards a food parcel would be amazing and help to bring hope to families when they need it the most.

Thank you
