To jump out of an aeroplane is something I've wanted to do for a very long time!
My first attempt, which would have been a solo jump when I was a young 40+ year old, was scuppered by bad weather and then by me sustaining an ankle injury.
30+years on and now a 70 year old that has lost a bit of nerve to do a solo jump, but would still like to jump out of an aeroplane before loosing my nerve completely, I have opted to do a tandem parachute jump instead.
I will be jumping from an aircraft some 10,000ft above Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent in May, raising money for my favourite children's charity 'Stand By Me'.
Thanks!
Shirley
