Educational Gifts

A great quality education is key to escaping poverty. We build schools and run education programmes to equip kids with the skills they need to rise above their circumstances and change their communities. For children who have never had the joy of attending school or experienced the excitement of learning to read or write, an educational gift can help them escape the hopeless cycle of illiteracy and poverty.

How does it work?

When a child receives a gift, they are so excited and proud to know that someone across the world cares for them.

1) Choose a gift - Browse our alternative gifts, choose a life-changing gift for a Stand by Me child and place your order.

2) Receive your order  - We post you a gift card (for free) for each item you have chosen, to give to a friend.

3) Your friend receives their gift card - The card details their gift and how it will help to transform a child's life.

4) A child in our care receives the gift - Your friend is happy to know that you have helped enhance a child's life.

Brian is one of our outstanding teachers at our Open Arms Academy in Kenya. He knows first-hand the impact an education can have and is committed to giving out children every opportunity for them to reach their potential.

“I understand what life is like for these children. Life was hard, I slept on the streets, hungry every night, but I was given a second chance by being enrolled in school. This changed my life. I want to give others the same chance of a future. When children’s basic needs are met, they can learn. School saves these children’s lives!”
