Vital aid for families during the civil war and flooding in Myanmar

Our children and staff in Myanmar are living amid a civil war unlike anything they have experienced before. Every day from their homes and classrooms, our children and staff in Northern Myanmar hear the terrifying sounds of bombs and gunfire. In hundreds of villages across the country, homes have been left in ashes. Many have died, and thousands are fleeing for shelter.

In the south, our children are not only dealing with the war, but they are also facing devastating flooding which has forced them to relocate after a local dam broke, submerging the home waist-deep in water and destroying this years’ rice harvest. This news has come at the worst possible time as a ban on food imports and road and shop closures have caused rice prices to skyrocket from £15 to £55 per bag.

The inflation and flooding are crippling our ability to feed the 2,000 children in our care.

How can I help?

A donation of £14 can feed a child for a month or £55 could purchase a bag of rice to feed a family for one month, but any contribution is gratefully received. With your help and God’s faithfulness, we can meet our children’s needs and show them they are loved through this war.
