Meet Roy

Roy is an only child. He lives with his grandparents in their small home, as sadly both his parents left and are no longer part of his life. His grandfather is a village elder who helps solve disputes and guide members of the community. Although he holds this position, it does not provide a steady income. He often takes up casual work so that he can put food on the table. Roy’s grandmother keeps a few chickens at home, which provide eggs for the family. They sell some to buy basic necessities such as soap, salt, and school supplies. Life is not easy, and there are days when the family struggles to afford enough food. 

Despite these hardships, Roy is a hardworking and determined boy. He dreams of becoming a pilot and every time he sees an airplane flying in the sky, his eyes light up. He imagines himself in the cockpit, soaring above the clouds. More than anything, he wants to take his grandparents on an airplane one day and fly them around the world as a way of thanking them for their love, sacrifice, and support. Roy believes that with hard work, faith, and determination, his dream will come true.
