On Sunday 4th May I'm taking on the challenge of the Belfast Marathon, to raise money to help provide a new generator for Abdi Academy in Ethiopia.
I have visited Abdi Academy, and seen firsthand the care that is provided for over 500 of the poorest children within the community. Abdi Academy meets their essential needs, providing access to clean water, regular nutritious food, healthcare and the opportunity of a life changing education.
One of the major challenges faced by the school is their current generator is no longer fit for purpose, and with electricity shortages regularly affecting the town, this creates significant problems. I would love to raise £1,500 to help provide a new generator, ensuring that the school can have a reliable reserve energy source.
Thank you so much for your support as I take on this challenge, and for helping make a difference in the lives of children who attend Abdi Academy.
