This May I'm taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life to raise some support for the incredible kids in the care of Stand by Me. I've had the privilege to travel to meet some amazing children in the far flung places of the world and have witnessed first hand the challenges that kids face, many without simple things like food, clean water or a chance to go to school. However, we can make an incredible difference by giving kids the love, care and support they need at our Stand by Me schools and care centres.
On Friday 16th May I am travelling to a small town called Malaucene in France at the foot of Mont Ventoux, a gruelling mountain that features in the Tour de France. The challenge is to become a member of the 'Club des Cingles' by cycling up the mountain three times in one day! The route is 85 miles long with over 14,000 feet of climbing and the average time to complete the challenge is between 7-10 hours.
The mountain stands at 1910m above sea level and I'd love to raise £1 for every metre!
As I take on this challenge I'd love to have your support - every donation will make a huge difference in lives of kids all around the world.
Thank you!
