We are both very excited to be going to Ethiopia in October to work with Stand By Me. The charity operates schools, children’s villages, care centres, and family-support programmes to provide vulnerable children with quality education, healthcare, nutrition, loving homes, and opportunities for family stability and independence.
To raise funds to support our team's visit, I will be running the New Forest Marathon on the 14th September. Considering the magnitude of the challenges overcome by the children supported by Stand By Me every day, the least I can do is survive running 26 miles as fast as possible without crying (much).
