James and Esther moved across Burma with their nine month old son and the vision of seeing an empty field transformed into the newest Stand by Me Children's Village caring for children who are 'at risk', orphaned or abandoned.
Over a year later the dream that brought them to Shan State became a reality. The children's village is today caring for children rescued from destitution who had never before experienced the comfort of a bed or the excitement of celebrating a birthday. The homes are full of love, joy, fun, laughter and hope.
For the children to receive a great education and get the chance to reach their full potential, they attend a local school. To do this we need help to fund their school fees, uniform and school resources.
£176 - pays for a years school fees for one child
£50 - purchases a years school supplies for one child including school uniform, exercise books, pens, text book, school bag and lunch box.
With loving care in our homes and a great education, these children will have the opportunity to thrive and become the next generation of doctors, teachers, engineers, pastors, and whoever they were created to be, changing their futures and their communities.
