Donations towards my homemade cards will go to Stand by Me, a charity close to my heart. Stand by Me is a child care charity that rescues children from terrible circumstances, then does whatever it takes to provide the care, love and attention they need to thrive. They care for over 4000 kids across the world from Myanmar to Colombia to Ethiopia. They take care to understand and meet each child's individual needs from food and healthcare, to loving parents and a quality education.
As many of your know, I have visited Stand by Me's project in Bekoji, Ethiopia and have seen firsthand the huge need but also the incredible work Stand by Me are doing to provide life-changing care and a brighter future for children and their families. I sponsor an amazing young man named Diribu and was able, with the support of my friends and family, to fundraise to buy his brother, who is living with cerebral palsy, a wheelchair to improve his life.
The donations will be used to meet the most urgent needs, which at this time is to provide food, relief and repairs to homes in Myanmar as the children in Stand by Me's care are living through a vicious civil war, food insecurity and flooding.
