Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for our school ‘Swim By Me’ challenge that I will be undertaking on Thursday 29th January.
It will not be long before our Key Stage 2 children will be ‘Swimming By Me’ as I embark on my 4 hour swimming challenge. This will be my toughest physical challenge to date.
We are all endeavouring to complete enough lengths so that together we can cover the 32km distance that would be required to cross the English Channel. The children will swim as many lengths as they can in their 30 minute lessons one class at a time, while I will swim alongside them all for the entire time they do, totalling 4 hours. This charitable initiative aims to raise as much money as possible to help children at our linked school in Kenya, the Open Arms Academy.
The children in Kenya have been told about our exciting fundraiser. The project director, Linda, has sent Chepstow House School this message…
“We are so excited to hear about Mr Best’s fundraising event and his success so far! We are cheering him on from here! Please give all the Chepstow children our love and tell them thank you for their support!”
I would encourage as many parents and children as possible to get behind us and donate to this worthwhile initiative. Together we can help the Open Arms Academy as they continue to give children the best possible education and allow their pupils to realise their full potential.
Thank you and wish us luck!
Mr Best
