Hello everyone,
This year, I’m am both excited and privileged to be going to Ethiopia to work with the wonderful global charity Stand by Me. I will be spending a week helping out in the local school and helping the team however I can.
The village faces a number of challenges. I would love to help raise funds to provide every child in the Bethany School with a new pair of shoes. A pair of shoes costs £10 and we'd like to provide them for 400 children. Secondly, we would like to provide food parcels for 100 families.
I hope this is the first of many trips: I am keen to support the local team and community over the next few years with initiatives that help people out of poverty and to access clean water through the possibility of building wells.
This trip is fully self-funded, so every donation will go to the charity! You can also give to Stand by Me through CAF (Charity number 1185124), if you make a donation through CAF please email hi@standby.me to inform them that this should be allocated to my fundraising.
