On Friday 24th November the pupils and staff of Whitehead Primary School are taking on a sponsored walk to raise funds to support the kids in the care of Stand by Me. By walking around the school grounds carrying our Jerry cans we will see what life is like for lots of boys and girls who journey down to a river or well to collect the water they need for each day. Taking part on the day will serve as a reminder of just one of the challenges kids face, and so as a school we want to help!
As a school we have decided to sponsor three Stand by Me children who live in Ethiopia and the support we raise each year will help provide them with regular meals, clean water, uniforms and a life changing education at our school.
By sponsoring the pupils at Whitehead Primary we will be helping Abi, Fetiya and Lamrot dream of a bright future.
