Transforming the lives of kids like Diana and Cleophas

Diana and Cleophas grew up in hardship. Their mother, their only provider, struggled daily to provide food. Hunger became a constant battle, and their mother’s health deteriorated. Tragically, she passed away, leaving Diana and Cleophas to fend for themselves. 

But God had a plan for their lives and we received a call about two young siblings in desperate need of a home. Without hesitation, we opened our doors and welcomed Diana and Cleophas into our family. 

Within weeks of receiving nutritious food, water, love and care, they began to thrive. The siblings were now stronger, healthier and filled with hope. 

Over the years, that hope, and the generosity of Stand by Me supporters, has transformed their lives. Cleophas recently earned a school award for being the most disciplined student, a reflection of his determination. Meanwhile, Diana has discovered her creative talent, performing in several school productions that have competed nationally at the Kenya National Drama Festivals. 

Recently, we were able to trace their family and joyfully reunite them with their beloved grandmother. Last year, their greatest desire was to spend Christmas together as a family.

Their grandmother lacked the resources to feed them over the holidays but thanks to the generosity to our 2024 appeal, we were able to provide food packages to ensure that Diana, Cleophas and their grandmother were able to spend Christmas together.
