Brand new Blessings Home

The Blessings Home has been a place of love and care since it was opened by Deborah who saw the desperate need of abandoned and orphaned children living in extreme poverty. Supported by Stand by Me the 12 children in the Blessings Home were happy but overcrowded in their two room rented house.

The landlord constantly pressurised Deborah, raising the rent and threatening to evict the family. Stand by Me acquired land and began to build the family a home of their own.

In February David, our UK director, had the pleasure of attending the opening of the new Blessings Home. It was an amazing occasion as over 400 guests celebrated Gods great blessing in the provision of this wonderful home for needy children.

Ten year old Siam (front row, second right) is one of the 12 children happy to be in a brand new home of her own. Siam came to Blessings Home as a baby without a name. Given a name and a home by Deborah, Siam is a joyful child who loves going to school and helping around the house. Siam said “Blessings Home provides me with love, peace and family.” No longer living with the uncertainty of rented accommodation, the fantastic new building has brought significant changes to the everyday life of the children giving them confidence, security and a greater sense of self worth.
