Dragon Boat Race
On a recent sunny Saturday, teams from local companies, along with some Stand by Me staff and volunteers, had an exciting day on Lake Windermere competing in a dragon boat race. The day was sponsored by Pringle Homes, with all proceeds going toward our Stand by Me children in Kenya.
Local companies made up each team, many of whom had some epic fancy dress outfits! Everyone had a great time competing in a race across the lake, tug-o-war and many other games with their teams. After an epic day of food, games and laughter, our own Stand by Me team were declared the winners!
The day raised a whopping £8,995 which will make a difference in the lives of the children at our Open Arms Project, helping to provide our kids with food, healthcare and life-changing education.
