Angela was abandoned when she just two months old, left alone on the side of a road. Thankfully she was found, taken to hospital and, shortly after, brought to our Open Arms Children’s Village in Kenya where she received the love and care she needed to grow into a bright and wonderful girl.
Five-year-old Emmanuel sat on his bed with tears in his eyes. At first glance it appeared that these were tears of sadness, but that day he had in fact cried many tears of joy.

Clothes mean more to our children than just a way to be fashionable. Most of the children from the community have never owned new clothes. One of the students who got a new uniform is Carlos. When he was given his new pair of trousers to try on, he couldn’t stop smiling.
“I like this uniform. My brother looks nice and so do I. We could even work in an office!”
