Families in Ethiopia are trapped in poverty by the crippling burdens of malnutrition, lack of healthcare, early death, HIV and child labour. Despite the insurmountable challenges, Stand by Me is lifting families out of poverty and helping over 900 children achieve their dreams.

We can’t emphasise enough just how much having a sponsor means to our kids. But Cami, our Romania Director, has seen firsthand the joy of sponsorship and the lasting difference it makes in a child’s life.

Neesha's situation is similar to many families in the Khairang and like many children, Neesha never had the chance to go to school. Today, Neesha attends the Khairang Bethany School and walks every day with one of her sisters.

To give families in Colombia the means to improve their lives for the long term, our care centre has been running self-sufficiency courses. One of the courses has been to teach the mothers of our children baking and pastry-making.

Some of our amazing supporters have joined us to stand by our university students by helping to fund a laptop for each of the students!

Stand by Me run a care centre to bring hope and care to children and families in this town. One of our aims is to provide training and support for families so that they can raise their children in a safe, secure and loving environment.

Kung Hmong has been grinning from ear to ear since joining our Mercy family at our Shan State Children’s Village. Before joining our family, Kung Hmong didn't get the chance to smile much, often survival was the only thing on his mind.
