Kung Hmong has been grinning from ear to ear since joining our Mercy family at our Shan State Children’s Village. Before joining our family, Kung Hmong didn't get the chance to smile much, often survival was the only thing on his mind. 

Isaac first came to our Emmanuel Care Centre when he was four years old. Life was hard for him back then. With barely any income, his mum struggled to feed him and Isaac had little chance of ever achieving an education. 

Stand by Me send teams to visit our work around the world and complete projects that enhance the lives of our kids. The Burley Group teamed up with Colin, Nigel and Tom to build something exciting for our kids in Bekoji – an adventure playground. 

When a child’s individual needs are looked after, they are free to grow in character and express themselves. They are full of valuable qualities, one of which is kindness, which radiates from eight year old Gualdir in Colombia. 

We love to see our children shine and we join them in celebrating their accomplishments, big or small. 10 year old Kadija is in grade 4 at our Abdi Academy in Dembi Dollo. She is an outstanding student and was recently chosen to be a class monitor!

At Christmas 2017, every child in our care received the present they hoped for - a brand new pair of shoes! All thanks to everyone who responded to our Shoe Appeal.
