Our dream for every Stand by Me’s child is that they can utilise our support to rise above their circumstance and create a better future for themselves and their family, breaking the cycle of poverty.
Our incredible supporter Lynda has dyed her hair to raise money to bring food security to our kids in Myanmar. As a long-term supporter who has visited our projects in Myanmar, Lynda wanted to do more to support our projects during the current crisis, so she enlisted her hairdresser granddaughter to dye her hair pink!
Meseret is now in grade 7 and one of the top students in the school scoring the highest result in her class this semester.
Meseret said: “There is no secret to my academic achievement. I am changing my life with education. All the facilities are here for me, so I want to use my chance for change.”
