In 2012 Chris and Fi made their first visit to Ethiopia, little did they know that this short trip would be the catalyst for them, in 2017, to move hundreds of miles away from their home to live in Bekoji, one of the poorest towns in Ethiopia.

Meet Abdi, he's five years old and lives with his parents in Dembi Dollo. Both him and his mother are living with HIV and take medicine to control the virus. Abdi’s father’s job as a shoe shiner pays so little that they can’t afford adequate food or to pay the rent for their small mud house.

Strathearn Girls School each year requests a car load of Jerry cans. Because of those Jerry cans, the enthusiastic pupils and devoted staff have raised £6000 over 3 years, transforming the health of our kids who were without clean water.

Don’t they look smart! Uniforms don’t last long in Ethiopia and become damaged through being worn every day. A group of six motivated runners completed a Tonne Run (1000 miles) in 2015 to buy every child at the Abdi Academy a new school uniform.

Dental hygiene is important for every child. But sadly our children often suffer bad dental hygiene due to their families not being able to afford toothbrushes, toothpaste and visits to the dentist.
